“Assisting a total of 171 families in obtaining long-term affordable housing, while developing the self-reliance skills to maintain their housing.”
Transitional Housing Snapshot:
58 families with 154 kids served
- 100% of 24 families obtained permanent housing upon program completion.
- 63% of the families increased their income while in the program.
- 85% of the families in the program developed and followed a budget.
- 83% were single parent households.
- The average length of stay in the program was 16 months.
- 47% of the adults in the program were considered long-term homeless
(homeless for one year or four times in three years).
- 32% of adults had a disabilty.
- 65% of adults were African-American; 18% were Caucasian; 15% were Native American.
- We turned away an average of 70 families each week due to program capacitiy.
Rental Assistance Program Snapshot:
36 families with 103 kids served
- 83% of the families increased their income while in the program.
- 83% of non-disabled RAP adults were working or in school upon program exit.
- 100% had income and benefits to sustain housing at exit.
- 86% were single parent households.
- The average length of stay in the program was 31 months.
- 77% of adults were African-American; 7% were Caucasian; 7% were multi-racial.

Passage Community Housing
A 17-unit apartment building providing transitional housing to families.
ZOOM House
Providing support services to 10 families in transition at the ZOOM House apartments in south Minneapolis.
Family Roots Alliance
Through Family Roots Alliance, a collaboration with Lutheran Social Services, we are serving 40 long-term homeless families throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
