Bell House – the administrative home of Simpson Housing Services - is a classic, nearly 100 year-old mansion on Pillsbury Avenue in south Minneapolis.

Donated to Simpson Housing by Gary and Karen Kirt and Bell Mortgage in 2005, Bell House embodies the classic architecture of its time. Although it has been converted to a fully-functioning office, providing workspace to nearly 50 individuals devoted to providing shelter, housing, support and services to men, women and children experiencing homelessness, it has retained nearly all of its classic details. Pillars, columns, marble fireplaces, and ornate woodwork fill its three stories. A professionally installed pond and fountain fill the side garden.

An old house lover and handyperson’s dream.

Simpson Housing is committed to maintaining its residence at Bell House and in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis. The Simpson Housing Board of Directors has begun a capital campaign to bring Bell House back to its original splendor.

We are making a solid home for the people who work at finding homes for all.
