During these challenging times, we are serving a record number of people.
Without our supporters, we could not keep our overnight shelters open or provide services to our families and single adults in housing.
We need your partnership to help ease the impact of homelessness on members of our community.
Every bit helps
Making a large contribution may be a difficult decision for many of us, but smaller donations or monthly payments can really add up and help an agency like Simpson Housing Services.
A monthly gift of $25 would be an enormous boost to the homeless people we serve.
Please consider a regular on-line donation on our secure web site.
Success stories
We invite you to read the many success stories on our website.
Ways to help
We are always in need of in-kind donations for our shelter guests, single adults, and families. You could serve a meal in one of our shelters.
Consider
making a contribution that will help someone take the steps to achieving what
we often take for granted: housing and stability. A gift in any amount is welcome.
- $30 buys a bus pass or cab ride to a grocery store, job interview or doctor appointment
- $90 provides food and shelter for one single adult for a week
- $200 pays for a month of coffee in the shelter
- $500 subsidizes a month's rent for a family
- $500 offsets the wages of the direct service providers in the shelters and family housing programs

There are no transaction fees when you donate through www.givemn.org.

Planned Giving
Including a gift to Simpson in your will or naming Simpson as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy are great investments in helping to end homelessness and its impact on individuals and families.
Please let us know if you have included Simpson in your will or would like more information about estate planning options.
Note: If you are 71 or over, you can make a tax-free gift to Simpson from your traditional IRA. You won’t pay income tax on the amount of your gift. Tell your traditional IRA administrator that you want to make a “qualified charitable distribution” to us and give him or her our federal tax ID which is 41-175-9477, and our legal name which is Simpson Housing Services, Inc. The administrator will send your tax-free gift directly to us. It must be postmarked by December 31, 2009. Thank You.
Contact your financial advisor for more information and please consider making a gift to Simpson Housing Services.
