Emergency Shelter for Individuals

To stay at our shelter, or any single adult shelter in Minneapolis, please visit the Adult Shelter Connect office for an assessment and shelter placement.

The Adult Shelter Connect is open from 9 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and 1 PM to 5: 30 PM Saturday and Sunday.

The Adult Shelter Connect is located in the lower level of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Downtown Minneapolis:

For after hours assistance call United Way 211 by dialing 2-1-1 on a landline or 651-291-0211 from a cell phone.

 

Emergency Shelter for Families

Simpson does not provide emergency shelter for families with children. The main way families get shelter is to call the Hennepin County Family Shelter Team at 612-348-9410

 

Single Adult Housing

Simpson’s Single Adult Housing programs take all of our referrals for Single Adult Housing through Coordinated Entry. Coordinated Entry helps single adults in emergency shelters access supportive housing programs in Hennepin County.

Coordinated Entry only screens those who are staying in emergency shelters. If you are currently staying in an emergency shelter, talk to the staff at the shelter where you are staying.

If you are not staying in an emergency shelter, you can contact United Way 211 for other housing resources at 651-291-0211

 

Family Housing

We take all referrals for Family Housing through Coordinated Entry. Coordinated Entry helps families in emergency shelters access supportive housing programs in Hennepin County.

If you are staying in emergency family shelter, such as PSP, St Anne’s, or the Drake you will automatically be screened by Coordinated Entry. If you are a Hennepin County resident and staying in another emergency shelter, you can call the Front Door at 612-348-4111.
