John Green, President

Ameriprise Financial Advisors

John Green works for Ameriprise Financial and has over 20 years of experience in Financial Services and Human Resources, with strong ties to the community and corporate sector.  He is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving as a Presidential Honor Guard under President George H. W. Bush. He joined the board in 2015 and is currently Vice President.

Ivan Ludmer, Vice President

Ivan Ludmer is an assistant city attorney for the City of Minneapolis. Ivan has been on the board since 2018 and is now secretary. He serves meals at the shelter, volunteers with Art 4 Shelter, and looks forward to taking on more active roles with the tutoring and mentoring programs. Read more.

Cindy joined the board of directors in 2015.  She serves as the chair of the development committee and is a member of the executive committee. Cindy is  Senior Gift Planner at InFaith Community Foundation and has been a member of the Charitable Giving Services team since 2004.  Read More.

Tom Burke

Tom Burke retired from Norwest/Wells Fargo Bank in 2012. An active volunteer at Simpson’s shelter and a contributor to Simpson’s Art 4 Shelter fundraising event, he has been on the board since 2018. Read more.

Buffy Moore has been employed with Hennepin County for 14 years. She has an AS in Addiction Counseling from Minneapolis Community and Technical College as well as a BA in Human Services from St Mary’s University. She has 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Read More
